CELEBRITY NEWS: Conan Sidekick Slams Leno; Letterman Extortionist Pleads Guilty (audio)

ANDY RICHTER SLAMS JAY LENO, NBC (audio)

Andy Richter still has Conan O'Brien's back.

The former Tonight Show sidekick returned to T-V yesterday, filling in for Regis Philbin on Regis and Kelly, and he took the opportunity to bash Jay Leno and N-B-C.

Asked if he bore any ill will toward Jay and the network, Richter said, "Yes, I do. Why wouldn't I?... I mean, my God, I'd be some sort of self-hater."

He also took issue with Jay saying he had no choice in reclaiming The Tonight Show, because N-B-C wouldn't let him out of his contract. "Which...you know how multi-millionaires are always being forced to do things they don't want to do. It's frustrating."

Richter, who is still under contract with N-B-C, said it's a distinct possibility that he'll be joining Conan on his rumored tour.

LETTERMAN EXTORTIONIST PLEADS GUILTY TO EXTORTION (audio)

In the plea deal, Halderman, a producer for 48 Hours, will serve six months in jail, be placed on probation for five years, perform a thousand hours of community service and give up his right to an appeal.

Halderman told the judge, "In September of 2009, I attempted to extort two-million dollars from David Letterman by threatening to disclose personal and private information about him, whether true or false."

Halderman's extortion attempt prompted Letterman to admit on air last October that he had affairs with staff members.

Lindsay Lohan is suing E-Trade for 100-million dollars, claiming the company's recent commercial featuring a "milk-aholic" baby named Lindsay was modeled after her.

In the ad, which ran during the Super Bowl, a baby boy apologizes through video chat for not calling his girlfriend the night before because he was on E-Trade. The baby girl asks, "And that milk-aholic Lindsay wasn't over?" Another baby girl appears on screen, presumably Lindsay, and asks, "Milk-a-what?"

In the lawsuit, Lohan's lawyer insists that his client has the same "single-name" recognition asOprah Winfrey and Madonna. The company that produced the ad says the baby was named after a member of their account team.

Anyone who has met her once would know it's not her. The woman has a different body, hands, face, everything."
