COREY HAIM LAID TO REST IN TORONTO

Corey Haim was laid to rest yesterday in Toronto. About 200 friends and family members attended the 45-minute funeral service.

The service was reportedly paid in part by a celebrity memorabilia website. Noticeably absent was Haim's best friend Corey Feldman, who said he decided to stay in L-A out of respect for the family's wish to make it a "small, private affair." (He did post an open letter to his late friend here.)

Meanwhile, the emotional 9-1-1 call that Haim's mother Judy made as her son was dying has been released.


TIGER RETURNING TO GOLF NEXT MONTH

Tiger Woods announced yesterday that he's returning to golf at next month's Masters Tournament.

In a statement, the serial cheater said, "I have undergone almost two months of inpatient therapy and I am continuing my treatment. Although I'm returning to competition, I still have a lot of work to do in my personal life. When I finally got into a position to think about competitive golf again, it became apparent to me that the Masters would be the earliest I could play."


BRITNEY IS SINGLE AGAIN

Britney Spears is back on the market. The pop princess and her boyfriend, talent agentJason Trawick, have gone their separate ways. A source tells E! News, "They were fighting a lot and have not been getting along."


JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT IS SINGLE AND HATING IT

Jennifer Love Hewitt is single, but she's not happy about it.

She tells People magazine, "I'm not into 'Let's go out with one guy on a Monday and another guy on a Wednesday' -- that's just not me... Some people get excited about being single. I don't." Hewitt says her split with Jamie Kennedy was a "mutual decision, and we've parted as friends."


OPRAH MUST STAND TRIAL IN DEFAMATION SUIT

A U-S judge has allowed a defamation suit against Oprah Winfrey to proceed.

The former headmistress of Oprah's South African girls school claims the talk-show host suggested she was untrustworthy after several students complained of sexual abuse. The trial is set for March 29th in Philadelphia.


SHIA LEBEOUF PISSED AT KHLOE KARDASHIAN

Shia LeBeouf says Khloe Kardashian can take her advice and shove it.

In an interview with G-Q, LeBeouf is still hopping mad over his widely publicized car crash in 2008. He was initially arrested for drunk driving in the accident that left him with a severely injured left hand. He says, "I'd be watching the news, and they'd play my car crash, and every once in a while Kim Kardashian's sister [Khloe] would jump on T-V and preach to me from the red carpet about how to live my [expletive] life." He adds, "And I'm so upset, man. I'm so angry. Because this accident was not caused by me."

Asked about LeBeouf's accident, Khloe told Us Weekly, "Just be smarter. Think about your actions and get a driver. It's so much cheaper in the long run!"


KARA DIOGUARDI'S DAD RUNNING FOR SENATE

Kara DioGuardi's father tossed his hat into the New York Senate race yesterday. A two-term member of the House of Representatives in the '80s, Republican Joseph DioGuardi is looking to challenge Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. He says, "My daughter loves me. I'm sure she'll do everything possible...to get me elected to the U-S Senate."

  • Charlie Sheen returned to the Burbank, California set of Two and a Half Men yesterday as production resumed on T-V's most watched comedy.
  • It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia stars Kaitlin Olson and RobMcElhenney are expecting their first child in August. The co-stars got married in 2008.
  • The jobs keep rolling in for Betty White. The 88-year-old has signed on to co-star in T-V Land's Hot in Cleveland. Valerie Bertinelli and Jane Leeves also star.
  • Deadliest Catch star Jake Harris, the son of the late Captain Phil Harris, has been charged with reckless driving and driving with a suspended license. He's been cleared of D-U-I and hit-and-run charges.
  • Lindsay Lohan's father Michael was rushed to a New York hospital yesterday with a possible heart attack. His girlfriend Kate Major said it looks like it was a minor heart attack and that he was in good spirits afterwards.
  • Jon Gosselin's ex Hailey Glassman is further debasing herself. She's set to box a porn star named Gina Lynn for the Celebrity Boxing Federation. And to top it off, the fight will be refereed by Joey Buttafuoco.
