LINDSAY LOHAN'S PASSPORT STOLEN, COURT APPEARANCE UNLIKELY

Lindsay Lohan has run into another problem returning to the States for a court appearance this morning.

First it was feared that the volcano in Iceland would trap the troubled actress in Cannes, France -- now her passport has been stolen, and Lindsay says she won't be able to face the judge in her probation status hearing.

Yesterday her lawyer, Shawn ChapmanHolley, told TMZ, "Lindsay is distraught because it was her intention to get back to [Los Angeles] today to do more alcohol education classes and appear in court tomorrow." Lindsay has been warned that if she doesn't appear in court today, she'll be thrown in jail. Stay tuned.

BRET MICHAELS TELLS OPRAH HE THANKS GOD HE'S STILL ALIVE (audio)

Bret Michaels gave his first TV interview since his brain hemorrhage yesterday on Oprah.

Speaking via satellite from his Phoenix-area home, Bret looked to be in good shape and was his usual up-beat self. He told Oprah that his ordeal put his life into perspective. "You're not thinking about career, you're not thinking about nothing, you're thinking, 'Let me live through this... The only thing that matters right now is taking care of my family and my kids and thanking God I'm still alive to talk about it.' "

Bret says he's in physical therapy twice a day and still has headaches, a sore neck and difficulty moving his lower extremities. He's set to resume his tour May 28th in Biloxi, Mississippi.

As you'll recall there's been plenty of bad blood between Bay and Fox, who once compared him to Hitler.

TWILIGHT CONTRACT DISPUTE SETTLED

The "Cullen" family is staying together.

Twilight co-stars Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene have settled their contract dispute and will continue their roles as members of the vampire clan in the final chapter of the franchise, Breaking Dawn, which is expected to be broken into two movies. Lutz and Greene will each get $1.25 million per movie.

AMANDA SEYFRIED IS SINGLE

Amanda Seyfried and her British boyfriend Dominic Cooper are "taking a break," which is a nice way of saying they've broken up. Though a source says the two are still "great friends and could still get back together," that might change after Dominic was spotted chatting up Amanda's Mean Girls co-star Lindsay Lohan at the Cannes Film Festival yesterday -- and he had his arm around her waist. Maybe he even knows where Lindsay's passport is!

DIDDY WANTS SIMON COWELL'S JOB

Diddy wants to replace Simon Cowell on next season's American Idol.

The hip-hop mogul tells MTV, "I have been fronting all this time, trying to act like I don't want that spot. [But] I spoke to Simon's business manager, and I found out how much that boy makes a week. I am praying right now to American Idol." Diddy has even encouraged fans to spread the word on Facebook and Twitter to help him land the job.

CELEB QUICKIES
  • Audrina Patridge and Ryan Cabrera have split after a four-month romance. Audrina allegedly dumped the musician because of his "partying ways."
  • Walmart has pulled an entire line of Miley Cyrus brand necklaces and bracelets from its shelves because the jewelry was found to contain high levels of cadmium. If the toxic metal is ingested (such as a child biting or sucking on the jewelry), it can immediately cause serious liver and kidney problems.
  • CNN's Campbell Brown has been released from her contract with the network, at her request, after pulling in low ratings.

WHO SAID IT?

"I actually choose the way I eat according to the way animals have sex. I think [they] are very dignified with sex. But pigs, not so much. So I don't eat pig meat or things like that. I eat fish and fowl."
