DREW BARRYMORE RESPONDS TO HALF-SISTER'S DEATH: Drew Barrymore has issued a statement following the death of her half-sister, Jessica Barrymore, who was found dead in a car in front of a residence in San Diego, California on Tuesday (July 29th.) Drew said, "Although I only met her briefly, I wish her and her loved ones as much peace as possible and I'm so incredibly sorry for their loss." Firefighters found the 47-year-old's body but a cause of death has not yet been determined. Jessica was the daughter of actor John Barrymore.

KELSEY GRAMMER FORGIVES HIS SISTER'S MURDERER: Kelsey Grammer testified in the parole hearing of Freddie Glenn -- the man responsible for murdering his sister, Karen Elisa Grammer, back in 1975 in Colorado Springs. The Frasier star said via video conference, "I miss her all the time. I accept that you live with remorse. But I live with tragedy every day. I accept your apology. I forgive you. However, I cannot give your release my endorsement. To give that a blessing would be a betrayal of my sister's life." According to Gossip Cop, Glenn's request was denied and is allowed to reapply in three years.

MAKSIM CHMERKOVSKIY HAS LEARNED TO BRUSH OFF HIS HATERS: Dancing With the Stars pro, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, has learned not to concern himself with the reputation he has gotten in the entertainment industry. He recently chatted about the tabloid rumors about him to Gossip Cop saying, "I don't care, honestly. Up until about a year and a half ago, everything bothered me. All the little things that I read about myself. I've literally developed a thick skin. Now I completely tune out. I don't notice, I don't read into things, I don't get offended, I don't get upset -- you can literally say anything you want. You can't hurt me with words because I welcome freedom of speech, given where I come from." He added, "So that's why, to everyone out there, who thinks of me anything they think of me -- you're welcome. Congratulations. And use this. This whole freedom of speech thing is a blessing in this country. I can't be offended."

BRIAN SINGER ACCUSER LOSES HIS LAWYER: The man accusing director Bryan Singer of sexual abuse has lost his lawyer after refusing to sign a $100,000 settlement. Buzzfeed is reporting that all parties involved agreed to the settlement back in June but the accuser, Michael Egan, changed his mind at the last minute. He told the website, "This exact kind of take-it-and-shut-up deal is why I decided to stand up in the first place. Being silenced goes completely against what I believe in and offers no protection for other vulnerable children."

JUDGE ORDERS ARREST OF COLUMBUS SHORT: Columbus Short's failure to appear in court on Wednesday (July 30th) morning has resulted in the judge issuing a bench warrant for his arrest. He was scheduled to appear in court to face the domestic violence charges filed by his wife who is seeking more protection from him. According to TMZ, Columbus was also a no-show in court the prior day until the judge threatened to issue a warrant which is when he turned up.
