ABOUT THE DRIVE: Donors who last gave blood on or before
December 9th are eligible.
ABOUT DONATING: Blood donation is a safe; simple procedure
that only takes about an hour to complete. Donors must be at least
16 years old, be in good health, and weight at least 110 pounds. A
Blood Donor card or other I.D. is required to donate; 16-year old
donors must present a signed parental consent form each time they
donate until reaching 17 years of age. Consent forms are available
from Blood Center offices.
Controlled high blood pressure and diabetics are acceptable.

Grant Wood's Birthday Soup Smorgasbord (11:00 am - 1:00 pm)
Join the American Gothic House Center for the Grant Wood’s Birthday
Soup Smorgasbord, Saturday, February 11 from 11:00am-1:00 pm, at the KD
Center in Eldon, Iowa. The event will be held in celebration of the
121st anniversary of Grant Wood’s birthday. Enjoy a bowlful of
belly-filling soup with a side of fresh bread and crisp veggies.
Complete the meal and the celebration with a slice of birthday cake and a
mug of hot coffee.
Free will donations are welcome, and proceeds go towards funding new
exhibits and educational events at the American Gothic House Center.
