The Wapello County Compensation Board has recommended a 2.25% increase in annual wages for elected Wapello County Officials for the next fiscal year, beginning July 1st, 2012. The matter now goes before the Wapello County Board of Supervisors for a vote of approval or rejection.

If approved by the Board of Supervisors, wages for elected officials would roughly be:

$71,253.00 for the Wapello County Attorney

$49,570.00 for the Wapello County Auditor

$49,118.00 for the Recorder

$49,329.00 for the Wapello County Treasurer

$62,966.00 for the Wapello County Sheriff

and, $33,523.00 for each of the three Wapello County Supervisors.

The recommendation, a part of the next fiscal year's County Budget Planning Process, is likely to be taken up in the near future, at a Board of Supervisors' Meeting.
